More than 25 people gathered at the Cottage Lodge Hotel on 8 November to consider how to pursue a local Transition initiative.
After hearing about what was behind Transition, and why there were already a number of people working on issues, the group discussed ideas for action. Amongst a variety of suggestions the following were put forward:
- the Allotment Group working more closely with local schools to teach children about growing fruit and veg, and
- an idea from a local grower to recycle domestic cooking oil into bio-diesel to power tractors and plant.
