The Lymington Transition group met on Wednesday 26th November for a kick off meeting. Five us got together to make some plans and decided to aim high - we're trying to arrange a "Green Christmas Fair" to be held in the next 3 weeks. More details to follow if the plan comes together!
Our initial thoughts are for running some awareness raising events in Lymington, Milford and Keyhaven, Everton and Hordle, Sway and in villages east of the Lymington River........read on for details
Possible Events
v Sustainable Xmas Fair (if time and energy!)
v DVD nights in local halls
v Visits
to a power station, landfill site, Southampton CHP (combined heat and
power), incinerator, village of Martin (North of New Forest), recycling
centre, Efford mill, Solar panels. With the possibility of using the
New Forest Bus?

v Talks
v Art Days
If
you would like to be involved in the organisation, publicity, setting
up/clearing away, hall bookings, researching of any of these events, we
would love to hear from you. As dates become booked we would also
appreciate anyone who can stick up posters, email their friends and
tell the world (or at least SO41) about them.
Sarah
is going to start a list of places, websites, etc.. that we can
advertise our events on for free, so if you think of any, please email
her on duncan.sarah@virgin.net
All other ideas and contributions gratefully received.
We
are planning to meet up again on the 7th January (evening) and warmly
invite anyone who wishes to join us. Just drop Kate a line at the
