New Milton and Barton Group Get Going
We adopted the following statement at our first public meeting, which was held inthe New Milton Community Centre on Saturday 25th April, 2009.
STATEMENT
We are a recently formed part of the wider reaching New Forest Transition movement.
We aim to learn more about climate change and the impending worldwide oil shortage.
The Transition movement believes that if we respond to these problems as a community, we can make a positive difference to our future.
Our interests include food, water, electricity and gas, transport, building, education and leisure activities.
We aim to raise local public awareness on these subjects by specifically concentrating on projects in the BH25 postcode area.
