It will bring in a range of measures to encourage people to explore the
national parks in environmentally-friendly ways.’

If you are interested in applying to the fund, check out the National Park Authority
website (www.newforestnpa.gov.uk/STSF ) for more details.
For further information email STSF@newforestnpa.gov.uk or call 01590 646676.

You can report your village pot holes and local flooding to Hampshire's Road Problems webpage.

Zoom into their interactive map to position the pothole and let them know about its approx. size and depth.

You can ask to be contacted about the problem and when its sorted - or not.

The problem is also assigned a tracking number - in case you want to track it!

http://www3.hants.gov.uk/roadproblems

You are invited to join a "cycle in" to promote safe cycling for local people in the New Forest on Sunday 27th June as part of National Bikeweek. Supported by the New Forest Transition Transport group, the NPA and NFDC, the event will be centred in Brockenhurst but we hope you will join in by holding your own local events and/or by cycling to Brockenhurst to join in. The Brockenhurst Transition group will be organising short and medium length group trips in the morning in and around the village, including a treasure hunt for younger cyclists. We will also meet a group who will cycle in from Southampton to mark the opening of the National Cycle network route from Hythe to Brockenhurst.

This will all come together at Brockenhurst primary school at 1 pm. There will be a formal marking of the opening of the new route, and in the grounds of the school will be bicycle maintenance workshops, a bike swop, bike painting, and other bike-related activities, as well as food provided by local businesses.

Please let us know whether you'd like to participate and please keep us informed of any local events you arrange.

Oh, no. Pledge to swap a car trip and instead walk, cycle or use public transport next week - 29th June - 4th July and win great prizes.

Sustrans

or even keep the bike out longer than a week and join Britain's ever growing cyclist organisation, the CTC.

CTC website
